More about Historic Blackstone Revealed

The weekend event will give ticket holders the opportunity to tour the interiors of six homes and four businesses in Blackstone’s historic district. A less than 1-mile walk allows attendees to enjoy all ten properties that each retain original exterior and interior features yet are updated for today’s modern conveniences. As part of admission, attendees will receive a guidebook sharing the history of the neighborhood and each property on tour.

Mary Schimmel Bernstein Brunch and Tour

Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Mary Schimmel Bernstein shares stories of her father, Bernard Schimmel, who brought his extraordinary culinary arts to the Schimmel Hotels, including The Blackstone, helping to  create one of the finest hotels between Chicago and San Francisco. The brunch will include a behind-the-scenes tour of the hotel.
